Denmark Street is a rock’n'roll trio with members hailing from Germany and NZ, now living in Christchurch and Wellington. Their eclectic influences and individual styles run the gamut of left-field 20th-century popular music, and feed off one another to form a fertile musical jungle that the boys enjoy exploring when they come together. Denmark Street are known for their thrilling live show, with a punkish aggression, larger-than-life showmanship not often seen since the 60s and an improvisational quality straight out of the blues.

Winner of the 2008 Radio Active HANDLE THE JANDAL “Best Concept” and “Rising Star” awards.

The Lookie Loo’s – Shaky Laughter

The Lookie Loos began their life at the start of 2005. The two founding members of Tim Steers (Guitar+vox) and Alex Mustard (Bass) met whilst studying at the same institution within Hamilton.
Steers moved from the U.K to study music within New Zealand and Mustard made the long journey from Waihi to study sport at the Waikato Institute of Technology.
After some trials and tribulations along the way they are stronger than ever and about to release the debut album Invicta.

David Kilgour & Sam Hunt – River Plateau Song

As a teenager in the late 1970′s David Kilgour and his brother Hamish, inspired by the independent do-it-yourself spirit of punk rock and the simple yet dissonant songwriting of Lou Reed and Bob Dylan, formed The Clean in their hometown of Dunedin. The Clean went on to become one of New Zealand’s most popular and most respected bands.
All along the way, over a career that spans the course of two decades, David Kilgour has come to be known as one of the most respected and admired songwriters of his generation. His signature guitar style and languid, carefree melodies are readily identifiable.
In January of 2001, David was awarded the New Zealand Order of Merit, to recognize and honor his contributions to the arts and cultural heritage.
