Pistol Youth started when guitarist Bradley Hanan-Carter asked three of his mates who had never met who all lived in different countries to record an E.P over the internet. It went so well they all met up in LA and have a full length album on the way.
For Problematic, director Adam Jones traveled the world with some cardboard cut outs in tow and made this clever video in Auckland, L.A, Sydney and Sweden.

The Kidz In Space legend began when a trio of ferociously talented artists from different backgrounds, mysteriously crossed paths and formed Kidz In Space.
Their just released E.P, Episode 1: Chasing Hayley, has taken off seeing them recently perform in New York for the CMJ Festival, and ‘Downtime’ moving steadily up the iTunes hit list.
The E.P is supported by 3 videos from the laboratory of K.I.S. visual collaborator Tim Van Dammen, beginning with Ocean Of Drugs.

So Platform TV in association with nzmusicvideos caught up with Tim from Blur and Sharpen and Juse from Move the Crowd to find out why they chose to make three music videos, the process, and how these videos can help promote the album.

They are quickly gaining a reputation for delivering fast and rollicking melodies which are irresistible to dance to. This youthful quintet, are no stranger to the local touring circuit, having already supported such bands as Pluto, the Checks, Midnight Youth and the feelers on their NZ Summer Tours.

If asked in a genial fashion, the band would most likely describe their sound as a rather tone-filled mix of surf-rock and bluesy rock and roll, framed in a backdrop of fast country infused panoramas. They would almost certainly then proceed to tell you that they enjoy and would like to give praise to the likes of Link Wray, Dick Dale, Screaming Jay Hawkins and Tom Waits.

Shot on the East coast of the North Island on a very wild weekend!
